Why is it when we loose a station on the synops they NEVER replace with
another nearby station. The same happened with Manchester Airport, I was
led to beleive Woodford was the replacement, but nothing ever happened.
As usual we move backwards in this Country.

The station closures are driven by costs and the RAF likely to continue this
in the future.

sadly it RAF Coltishall disbanded on April 1st 2006 and flying operations
have ceased
