It wasn't like that in my day - and that was a mere 7 and a bit years
ago.

I was chatting with a current airline pilot only yesterday and he
agreed that there is such an overwhelming amount of information in some
modern aircraft that there is a severe risk of "not seeing the wood for
the trees" (overload)

Having flown both (737-200 to 800), I whole heartedly come down on the side
of the Cessna. At least it lets you fly it!
