In message , Col
writes My first 20C day today at 24.5C, easily beating the previous record (from yesterday) of 18.3C. Now this got me thinking, there must have been a fair number of places in the country today whose first 20C day was also their first 25C day. Now to me this seams like a statistically rather unlikey feat but perhaps it's more common than I might imagine. Is there any data on this interesting (though admittedly rather obscure) event? Col -- Bolton, Lancashire. 160m asl. An interesting one, Col. Today was the first day in Chalfont St Giles this year that exceeded 19.9C. The max today was 28.3C. Norman.
