Bernard will probably put up some higher resolution imagery, but for the
moment, have a look at the MetO output (ex. Meteosat) VIS image at 1800Z: http://www.metoffice.com/satpics/latest_uk_vis.jpg the shadows cast by the westering sun from the Cb anvil cluster over Wessex are particularly vivid - the whole thing a wonder to behold, though perhaps not if you were right under it! Martin. The same image shows up the sea fog along the north Cornwall coast well, and the clear slot giving glorious sunshine along the south Cornwall coast which had an offshore wind. (no south coast sea breeze, except near Tamar) Graham Penzance. |
