Default wet in Leeds: no shortage of water

We have had 100mm this month with over 40mm falling in the last 3 days.
This makes it the wettest May in 23 years. We have 9 more days to go. The
record is 123.5mm in 1967. Will we beat this I wonder? There is no shortage
of water in this area. On my journey over the Pennines today - Scammonden
reservoir is brimming over the top. Usually at this time of year it is a few
feet below the parapet!
