Default Today's model interpretation (26/05/06)

Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon on Tuesday. Issued
0530z, 26 May 06.

The models show a high to the west by the middle of the week with a cool
northerly or NNW'ly flow over the UK. The high then looks like moving over
the UK, bringing light winds and settled conditions - along with an initial
risk of night frosts in sheltered areas.

High pressure lies to the west with NNW'lies across the UK as a result.
There's little change at T+144, but by day 7 the high topples over Ireland,
bringing SW'lies to Northern Ireland and NW'lies elsewhere.

NNW'lies cover the UK as the result of a high to the west. The high builds
over Ireland at T+144 with northerlies across much of the UK as a result.

GFS: http://217.160.75.104/pics/Rtavn1201.png
High pressure covers Ireland with northerlies for much of the UK as a
result. Winds fall light at T+144 as the high builds over the UK and there's
little change at T+168.

NNW'lies cover the UK, again with a high to the west.

JMA: http://217.160.75.104/pics/Rjma1201.gif
The Japanese run brings NW'lies over the UK, this time with a high over
Ireland. A ridge moves eastwards to affect much of the UK at T+144 with
light winds for all.

NOGAPS: http://217.160.75.104/pics/Rngp1201.gif
Strong northerlies and NNW'lies cover the UK due to a high to the NW.
