Gradually turning very warm and then locally hot in the south after midweek with highest temperatures in the range 25-30 deg C. Winds mostly light with sea breezes, moderate SW wind in Scotland and N.Ireland at times. 20% chance of isolated thundery showers on Sunday due to an upper air disturbance. 40% chance of some rain and drizzle in NW Scotland on Tuesday and Wednesday. 60% chance of this fine weather turning into a prolonged dry spell lasting for most of the following week, especially in southern Britain. 30% chance of a thundery breakdown. Prospects for haymaking:- Chance of 4 consecutive days of dry weather at any one spot. England and Wales 95% (Mon-Sat). N.Ireland 80% (Mon-Sat). Scotland 50% (Mon-Sat). EC's indicating the potential for a Spanish plume next weekend. If it comes off it could make things very interesting for a certain motor-race in Northamptonshire.. Either way I think we'll see 30°C breached next week. Jon. |

May I suggest you, and the Chief Forecaster at Haytor refer to this http://groups.google.co.uk/group/uk....03a1be2a05f558 Although I must say, I didnt find it too difficult. 564 thickness line acoss the M4, early June, Spanish Plume; not really rocket science ;-) |

Yes-unfortunately I am coming back to Dorset next Sunday close to that location after canoeing at Northampton and was considering both those possibilities.. methinks if I go via the A422 and Buckingham then Bicester I will miss the outflow from the latter!
