For anyone who is interested, a brief shower
of huge raindrops took place just now from some high based Cu congestus cloud, enough to produce that musty smell. Ac castellanus is also present. Time of shower 1512 to 1513Z. Cheers, Nigel (Romsey, Hampshire) |

Some towering Cu visible to north of London this afternoon.Hadn't realised a sounding was available from Larkhill at midday- http://weather.uwyo.edu/upperair/ima...3743.skewt.gif presumably this air mass may have fuelled the severe looking storm in Lincolnshire later in the afternoon, regards, David |
