Temp 12.6 deg C. No thunder heard yet. Colorful echoes on the radar in the rain mass. Rain, rain go away, come back again in October :-) I love it really! We had 5.1mm here in Dorset with a brief spell up to 64mm/hr. No bangs and crashes so really a useful shower. Nothing on the horizon to disturb my evening..... In a staff sweep, got the 29th team out (of 32)- Brazil. The £80 could come in very handy....... R |

R Just 1.9mm in Romsey from a couple of showery outbreaks of rain (a horrible term, I know, but seems to best describe the scene, as the sky is covered in SC clouds with some embedded instability). Rainfall for the month so far stands at 3.6mm and we have yet to hear thunder this June. Cheers, Nigel (Romsey, Hampshire) |

I definitely heard thunder from Dunbridge on the 4th, it sounded about 5 miles away so maybe it was possible to hear it from Romsey if there was no background noise. Nick |

How come the (what sounds like persistent) rain in the SW, but not further east? The chart suggested a wave on the front affecting the southeast but not the southwest. Nick |

R 94.3mm Robin, which probably explains why the land still looks so green hereabouts and the grass keeps asking for a trim despite the dry spell in the last fortnight. Plenty of water left in the butt. Regards, Nigel (Romsey, Hampshire). |
