Default Sea warm

Despite a decent 6ft plus swell, the SST at Sevenstones off Land's End
is staying 60f ( www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=62107 ),
suggesting the sea has warmed to a reasonable depth.

With very light winds forecast for Friday, a forecast swell of 6ft, the
surf along the north Cornwall coast could be good & clean.

Still only 8.1mm of rain so far this month.

Graham

Went swimming last Sunday in the sea and it really did feel warmer than the
same time last year when a wetsuit was required until early July.

According to the SST reports (I know they are open water), the temperatures
off the coast here of south Devon are around 14-15C, but there must be quite
a lot of warm water hogging the coastline because the sea was a lot warmer
than that.

The change in temperature in just two weeks has been quite remarkable.
