With over 46mm of evaporation and just 7.5mm of rain so far this month
(22nd) and being in the heart of the Drought Restriction area of East Surrey Water all weather has certainly not ceased. Ian Currie-Coulsdon www.frostedearth.com "Paul Hyett" wrote in message ... ![]() A very poor month here. Nothing of interest at all. June has been exceptionally dull and dry, 70F has been reached only once and there's been just 2 colder than average nights. I despair at how bad a month June is nowadays. It used to be the sunniest month of the year now its as bad as October and November. Richard Slessor, Aberdeen. |

Not really much happening and I have almost given up looking ahead for a bit of 'action'. Still the labs dont mind what is above them so... anyway, there was a nice breeze blowing down the valley where I work and the two walks they had were not toooooo bad R |

Temps only up to 13c, with a 20 - 25 mph strong breeze. The wind chill effect would make it feel like 4c ! Going out in short sleeved shirt, found I had goose pimples on my arms, arms cold, though strangely my hands didn't feel cold. Joe Wolverhampton 175m asl |

Plenty of sun, not too hot, very little rain but green grass and gorgeous plants and increasingly warmer seas and beaches. Long may this dry and sunny weather continue! Why not check out the SW for a holiday this year? Will (Haytor, Devon, 310m asl) -- |

For some unaccountable reason the young Met Assistants at the camp were treated as somewhat special by the local WRAFs, maybe they thought we had more brains than the average erk or they just used to see too many uniforms. It was not unknown for the girls to come and visit the lonely Assistants on nights. Obviously, being the mid 60s and before the permissive age we have today, we were reduced to showing the girls our Besson Comb Nephoscope and whirling psychrometer - Damn! Would you like to come in and see my Vantage Pro ? LOL - a great line possibly. And you got paid as well John :-) Will. -- |
