Default Has all weather ceased?

You have thought so, given how quiet its been here recently.

Doesn't anyone have an anecdote or something?

It's cold, wet, and windy here.

The temperature has now climbed to 13.7C, so it's not feeling quite so
wintry as earlier this morning when it was in single figures.

I blame the World Cup. All weather has stopped until the final.

The contemporary astronomical mechanism for global climate is expressed
in hemispherical terms, specifically a variable axial tilting Earth.-

http://www.scienceu.com/observatory/...s/earthyrb.gif

http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr161/lect/time/GLOBE2.GIF

The problem is that these poor astronomical conceptions are based on
meteorological hemispherical cyclical descriptions rather than the
correct global mechanism. While global climate from astronomical causes
can be reduced to hemispherical weather patterns as a convenience,it is
about time that the astronomical conceptions be brought up to speed
with global climate rather than hemispherical weather patterns.

The actual mechanism for global climate and subsequently hemispherical
weather patterns is a change in orbital orientation (due to orbital
motion) against fixed axial orientation -

Time to let go of older and out of date conceptions focusing on the
seasons (hemispherical weather patterns).

Why do they play an old Village People song at the end of (almost) every match?
The audience seem to sing it at various stages during matches also.
They aren't all oboists, are they?

Sunny spells today, but generally cool, wet, and windy.

Well, there was this RAF station in the Cotswolds, many years ago, and
the WRAFs based at the camp used to get a bit lonely -
Bourton-on-the-Water had yet to join the dance club revolution.

.... hmm: the only visitors I used to get on night duty (at Northolt)
were the RAFP dog patrol! Must have been doing something wrong ;-(

the WRAFs based at the camp used to get a bit lonely -
Bourton-on-the-Water had yet to join the dance club revolution. For
some unaccountable reason the young Met Assistants at the camp were
treated as somewhat special by the local WRAFs, maybe they thought we
had more brains than the average erk or they just used to see too many
uniforms. It was not unknown for the girls to come and visit the
lonely Assistants on nights. Obviously, being the mid 60s and before
the permissive age we have today, we were reduced to showing the girls
our Besson Comb Nephoscope and whirling psychrometer - Damn!

Likewise at Scampton... never sure how to treat the dog! A pat on the head
seemed very dodgy...generally stepped over them very carefully when crossing
the room.
