1800 WSW F1-2 35km - 1/CU 4/AC 5/CI T215D070
RMK: [CAVOK] - 1Cu hum/ScCugen (base same level)~060, 4Ac
(translucent/small breaks)~100, 1Ac castellatus~140, 2Ac (very
thin/translucent)~180, 1(distant)Cs~250, 5Ci~280/300. 'Skyscape'
outside typical of a decaying (early summer) frontal type, or as one of
our now retired Chief Forecasters would have said, the atmosphere is
'highly vertically partitioned': coded language for: 'not a lot to get
your teeth into' and 'don't try fitting this to the thickness pattern'!!
[ DAYTIME DATA (09Z - 18Z):
screen max: 22.6 precipitation: NIL
A fine, warm day but birds especially showing signs of distress with
little 'open' water available and insects (on the wing & earth-bound) in
poor supply. With ground rock-hard, species such as Blackbirds also
failing to find worms/grubs etc.]=
