The 00-00Z radar for the 26th shows a large area of up to 50mmin NE Devon.
There is a small and quite isolated maximum over Penzance also of ~50mm, but
eastwards towards the Lizard only has ~5mm!

Around 15mm fell 10:00-11:00. By noon 22mm had fallen. The afternoon
was then mainly dry with glimpses of the sun. The temperature rose to

My daily rainfall totals run from 09:00-09:00, and the total to 09:00
this morning was 78.9mm, the 2nd highest on record. The record being on
84.5mm 13th November 2002, the night of the St. Ives flood, when 100mm
fell on neaby moors.

Until this event June was the driest month (with 10.7mm rain) since
June 1996.

Still no thunder, there has been none in the whole of 2006
