Default Storms - North Devon

Had a slow-moving storm pass just west of Braunton this evening, and
managed to get a couple of pictures through the kitchen window:

No. 02 should be entered into a photo competition - I'm sure it would do
very well, given how hard it can be to get really good lightning photos -
the winner of the RMetS photo competition this year was a similar photo,
IIRC (in June's magazine).

A report from someone in Devon (not sure excact location) is reporting
lightning to his south right now. I put the AM radio, and it's
crackling occasionally

Also, i had a couple flashes and rumbles earlier today.

Nothing shows up on the sferics charts

Maybe, the small storms do not register or something.

But there is a little bit of activity out there

5:00am 4th July, major increase in sferics on AM radio, after a mostly
quiet night

Weird looking sky today, lots of dark wisp shades

Something major seems to have developed down over north-west Spain

Here's a snapshot of the sky here this morning. Just before sunrise:

Now, i've gone all the way, and made a video file

July 4th 2006 - Dawn - Cloud Formations (filesize 7Mb)

Right mouse click and choose Save Target As (this will not stream)

http://snipurl.com/sp3s

Development already taking place. I think some places are going to get
some good storms today
