The 3 spits and a spot we got this morning has turned up the humidity and
we're now into pressure cooker mode. The radar is looking pretty blank
around us at the moment so I'm anticipating that anything we do get this
afternoon will have to be home-grown.

Any informed comments?

I might as well add that I'm getting married on Friday afternoon, here at
the village church. My other three-quarters has had me on tenterhooks with
several will-it-won't-it (rain). I'm resisting a comment, partly because it
looks pretty unclear and partly because my reputation as a weather-watcher
is right on the line.

I don't mind as long as it cools down but heavy rain will obviously put a
bit of a damper on proceedings.

I'm glued to the forecasts but I've also got all my fingers crossed. It's
all made worse by the fact that the first date we'd looked at turned out to
be a glorious Saturday in early June but I had work commitments which I
needed to take precedence. If it all goes wrong now, I may well be
mincemeat by Friday night :-)

Fingers crossed for you Tom. I hope you have a lovely day - and
congratulations! (sorry I don't have any informed comments!)

Congratulations, but I didn't know polygamy was still
practised in Essex. :-)

A qualitative comment, Tudor: Polygamy, no; matriarchy, definitely.

Congratulations Tom! I reckon you'll be alright with maybe some very light
rain but probably warm if a bit cloudy. Now I would normally say ignore
that, but I seem to be a bit more reliable than the Beeb for today, so far
anyway!
Good luck Friday,

It was my girlfriend's sister's wedding on Saturday and the weather was
glorious. However, 30degC in a suit is not my idea of fun. Photos of a red
faced, suffocating Joe available on request.

Be careful what you wish for, Tom ! Congratulations to you both.

Asked the same question reference cricket and I said that I got the
impression it would be light rain - a nuisance - and not a lot more
than that.
Good luck! I managed 30 years of marriage!

Congratulations, Tom, and I do hope the weather will be what you wish for.
Out of interest will you be having any grand children at the wedding, as I
did a few weeks ago?:-) It was quite odd seeing them there in addition to
my children.
I'll go for a dry afternoon, loads of sun and a max of 24C.
