Nothing at all here overnight. A couple of brief showers mid-afternoon
yesterday then dry until it started to drizzle at about 0630z this
morning. Steady slight/moderate drizzle since then. The rain here during
the past couple of days has done little more than dampen the dust.

By the way, the BR in the 0530z OBS should be HZ. Only 90 percent RH.

Was woken by a huge crash of thunder here just after 5am,
which is some achievement as those who know how heavily
I sleep and how deaf I am will testify. I've slept through many
(well, some, as we've not had that many) overhead storms.

RMK: Continuous drizzle approx 0630-0830z, mostly slight
but occasionally moderate. A very murky and damp
morning but the lower temperature is a great relief. For me
it is the most pleasant morning for some days. The small
amount of rain we have had has moistened the top half inch
of soil but it's still bone dry below that.
24-HR STATISTICS: Max (0900-0900z): 22.3 at 1320z
Min (0900-0900z): 16.7 at 0400z
Grass min (1800-0900z): 12.2
Rain (48 hours to 0900z Thu): 5.3 mm
