Default [WR] Romsey - 4 eighths blue sky but there's no cloud...

....because the other half is filled with smoke.
The source is away to the east, or just south of east,
but the waves of orangish brown smoke drift overhead
and can be seen elevated well to the west taking on the
appearance of thin Cirrus. Occasionally there is a whiff
in the air, most noticeable when the visibility reduced
to 8km and the sun dimmed slightly around 1700Z.
I was first aware of the smoke about 2 hours ago
around 1600Z. Currently:

SYNOP 15/1750Z

Think it's the same plume of smoke as seen to the north of my location in
Bournemouth.
Was thinking that Canford Heath had gone up again but realised that the wind
is in the wrong direction
