BRACKNELL (TAWFIELD) 0900 NNE F3 45km - 4/CI T249D113 RMK: [CAVOK] - 4Ci~280 or higher (probably much higher in places). A highly sheared environment at these levels, with splendid examples of Ci floccus & strong, well extended ice-crystal trails from thicker patches of cloud. Otherwise, strong sunshine again. [ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z): screen min: 12.6 grass min: 09.9 precipitation: NIL [24hr total: 00.0 mm] other data: A pleasant night as the dew point is still relatively low. ]= Notes: The basic first-line format is:- [Time/GMT] [Wind direction .. compass points] [Wind speed .. Beaufort force] [Visibility .. metres / (km =10km)] [Visibility .. significant variation/direction] [Weather groups .. if any] [Cloud layers .. amount/type] [Screen temperature/T .. degrees/tenths] [Dewpoint temp/D .. degrees/tenths] [RMK .. additional/plain language information] -- Bracknell (Wooden Hill/Tawfield), Berkshire, UK NGR: SU 854 667 Elev: 80m Lat: 51° 23' 30'' N: Long: 00° 46' 28'' W |

The persistence of the sheared (and precipitating) Ci is most notable - usually the situation is such that the atmosphere 'rights' itself and these clouds disperse after an hour or so, but the sky-scape has been quite dramatic for over 6 hours now.= -- Bracknell (Wooden Hill/Tawfield), Berkshire, UK NGR: SU 854 667 Elev: 80m Lat: 51° 23' 30'' N: Long: 00° 46' 28'' W |
