Default July 2006 hotter than July 1976 in Leeds

Looking through the records, this July's mean max is 2 Deg C ahead of any
month going back to 1908. We have a few days to go yet ,but it is easily on
course for the hottest month ever! Records below are taken from Bradford -
Leeds does not have a long enough record

Mean Max in Bradford: Some other years of interest
July 2006 ..........24.4 C in Farsley
July 1976 ..........22.4 C
June 1975 .........23.1 C
July 1934 .........22.4 C
Aug 1947......... 22.9 C
July 1911 ..........22.2 C

What was the value for July 1983 which was the warmest month I have recorded
since 1970? My mean max for July 1983 was 27.6c.
