Grrrr!
Radio 4 PM intro a couple of minutes ago: "It is hotter than Crete, Blah, Blah, Blah and even Rio de Janeiro" where it is currently 23C and, being S of the equator, winter!!! I give up. -- Zak |

I give up. So do I. Chris Evans called today "the hottest day ever" on Radio 2! Several other have called it "The hottest July day ever". Do they think that all the hottest places are equipped with thermometers, and places without thermometers were all cooler? Do they know that it never gets hotter in July in other countries? Do they know that July days were never hotter before the invention of the thermometer? Grrr...
