.... thunder/lightning here in Bracknell 03-0430Z, high-base/medium level
activity, and not particularly frequent (single, long-drawn out
rumbles); as with you, just a few largish droplets ~0400Z - a waste of
time!

I fared quite well, Phil, from last night's storm. I was woken by heavy rain
and thunder at about 0345BST. The storm lasted about half an hour with
several lightning flashes followed by almost instantaneous thunder. Total
rainfall was 7.3 mm , which brings the month's total to 20.7mm.

I guess you must sleep pretty heavily then phil ;-)

Around 03:00, we were woken by lots of thunder and lightning both to the
east and west of us, although no "direct hits" :-(

We had 1.0mm of rain which mostly fell between those times.

I left West Horsley 05:45 this morning and I've just got back in to see
that we've had another 1.0mm whilst I've been out.
