Near perfect day today. Unbroken sunshine on west facing coasts,
temperature in low 20s, clear Atlantic air with lower humidity. Went to Godrevy on the east side of St Ives Bay. Had a swim accompanied by a seal. Some pics at www.easterling.freeserve.co.uk/Seals.html Notice how it's cloudless over the sea, but there are plenty of cumulus just a mile inland. I notice the latest GFS run is showing the Azores high to intensify agan next week. Good news, as I'm off to Scilly on Saturday. Graham Penzance |

Hi Graham,
Similar further east. I took a swim in the sea off Sidmouth. Can barely remember it feeling so warm..absolutely delightful, and certainly no wet suit required! However the only seals spotted were of the inflatable variety! Max of +25.1 deg. C at home in Dartington. Regards, Richard. Dartington, South Hams. Graham Easterling wrote: Near perfect day today. remember it feeling so warm..absolutely delightful, and certainly no wet suit required! Richard Ventured over into my part of the world then! Was Torquay too busy with all the holiday makers? I can imagine Sidmouth was pretty busy as well. I didn't manage a swim yesterday but I am off to test the water at Sidmouth this afternoon. Hopefully it is still as warm as it was yesterday! Currently at 10:15, 18.1C, RH 73%, DP 13.1C, 1022 mb (R), Wind 4.0 mph NNE. Clear blue sky. Temperature rising fast after overnight minimum of 12.0C. ________________ Nick G Otter Valley Nr Sidmouth, Devon 80 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
