My rainfall total this month so far is 8.4 mm. It looks like being the dryest July since I began in 1995. Unusually, you seem to have caught more of the showers than I, here at Boughton-under-Blean. My monthly total so far is 19.3mm which equals January 2006 as the driest months since I started recording in September 2004. Nearly half of that total - 9.4mm - was recorded in one exceptionally heavy shower on the 27th. We were on the western edge of that shower - it mainly passed to the east of us, so I guess Boughton-under-Blean wasn't affected by it at all. I wonder if the rainfall totals further east would have been higher than here during that shower! -- Jonathan Stott Canterbury Weather: http://www.canterburyweather.co.uk/ Reverse my e-mail address to reply by e-mail |
