Default Is it me but...?

Is the band of rain moving further westwards than originally thought? The
rain has stopped here in Hull at this moment in time and the radar suggests
a dry slot...

So much for the weather warnings again - look way off the mark.
I suppose we should be a little releived that it' s moved west and south a
bit quicker - 15.0mm today, could have been a lot more.
Have been shopping in Hull - I can confirm it was wet!

I think you'll be OK, Dave. Its clearly going S, but also there's a
significant W'wards component too....

Some very heavy rain here at the moment, but not particularly surprising for
here at least as I was always going to be on the margins of it at least.
If this was snow, it would have broken up over the Pennines but because
it's rain the Pennines appear not to exist!

These spells of precipitation from the north or northeast never come in
the months you most want them, namely November to February... One
sometimes thinks that our climate has been designed specifically to
minimise the possibility of lying snow...

I wouldn't count my chickens yet. See how the western edge is breaking up

and it's turning more to the East as it nears the Basildon triangle. By the
time it hits the South of the County I could be in for the usual 1mm of
drizzle!!

Nope!! Can you believe it - exactly as I predicted 3 hours ago. A bit of

the light blue stuff has nearly made the pavement wet! There is some more
sort of heading my way. News 24 forecast telling me that my persistent rain
will "fade by the small hours".
Ho hum.
Thanks for your concern!
Dave

Well this morning I looked at the warning, quickly, and saw between 15
and something so I think that is actually reasonably accurate given
the usual variations we have down here in Dorset i.e much more on the
North Dorset Downs than elsewhere.
