Guildford July 2006
-------------------------------- Mean Temp : 19.9c Max Temp : 35.2c 19th Mean Max : 26.7c Min Temp : 8.0c 14th Mean Min : 13.3c Monthly Rain : 14.7mm Wettest Day : 5.8mm 5th Monthly High Press: 1031.3mb 14th Monthly Low Press: 1005.3mb 31st Weather: TS on 26th, but no obs for most of the month. The max of 35.2c was a record for this site, beating 10th Aug 2003 (35.0c). The ground here is totally dead in parts, and I would guess will take 3-4 months to recover once the rain comes..It has seriously made me rethink what to do in the garden next year. I think hanging baskets are going the same way as vinyl! In a way I'm surprised that there is not more news here on the drought, but I do feel that I have missed out on some quite heavy totals around so I guess in all, its not so dire.
