RMK: tr Cu~025, 4Cs~200/220 (but might in fact be lower), 7Ci~280/300.
Partial halo present. Cirriform cloud has developed and/or spread in
rapidly during past hour. Before that, variable Ac/Ci.
[ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z):
screen min: 12.2 grass min: 10.2 precipitation: NIL [24hr total: 00.0
mm]

Mid-month figures:
Mean (of 24hr Max, 24hr Min) Temperature +0.7degC wrt whole-month eLTA

1400 ESE F3-4 45km - 1/CU T210D123
RMK: 1Cu med~040, 2Sc~060, 1Ac cas~080 (very well developed
vertically), scraps of Cirrus about: total cloud cover 2 oktas. About
an hour ago, a developing Cb with early-stage anvil to NW, but no
activity here.=


.... 1625Z first thunder heard from storm to distant NE (VCTS). Currently
(1637Z, odd rumble (1 per 3 or 4 mins) from bank of Cu con/Cb cap/Cb cal
ranged from NW-N-NE-ENE, with developing Cb cal to NE: generally dark
bases. In the immediate vicinity, bright sunshine, little cloud.

.... no thunder heard for at least 10 mins, and whole angry mass of cloud
is steadily retreating northeastwards. Fine/sunny here.

Martin,

At Heathrow, showers could be seen along with TCU to be moving up from the
S. At around 1500 local one bang with a flash ( reported ) and moderate
rain - amounting to 5mms on the 18z synop. At Guildford, jist the 0.5mm with
a much weaker affair looking at the web cam. Looks as though it developed as
it moved N.
