Just posted to above blog site 5 photos showing the Birth and death of
a Pileus cloud. I have been waiting years to catch such a sequence.

Now i know what I was looking at the other day in Kent! I wanted to call

Cheers Jeff!

Lovely pics, but are the photos out of order? I couldn't figure out what was
happening until I noticed the numbers were out of sequence - ignoring the
rest of the digits they go 13, 15, 16, 17, 14.

I'd be really interested to read a definition of a pileus cloud. Wikipedia
gives a very short description but not quite enough to satisfy my curiosity.

I will have to check the order - again -, I too thought they had
posted out of sequence. I checked the exif and decided they were in
fact in order but you must realise I am getting old!!!!

Yes, the photos are out of order, last one Number 14 should be no.2 in
the sequence.
