Minor flooding affecting a few of the low lying houses, with water pouring
into the village from the hills and flooding some of the roads. Today's total 31.8mm, all this afternoon and mostly in three periods, with the last from 1820 giving 19mm in 40 mins. Two records set since installling the Davis VP in Dec 2004, wettest day and wettest month. August now totalling 115.3mm. -- David Mitchell, 70m amsl, Langtoft, East Riding of Yorkshire. |
