BRACKNELL (TAWFIELD)
0900 W F3-4 50km - 1/TCU T157D146
RMK: 1Cu con (distant north - ties in with radar echoes of moderate /
heavy showers), 1Cu hum/med (local)~018/020, nothing else - deeply blue
sky, strong sunshine. Surfaces damp but drying rapidly.
[ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z):
screen min: 13.5 grass min: 12.7 precipitation: 5.5 [24hr total: 05.5
mm]
other data: near-continuous rain, moderate ocnl heavy (RA/+RA), between
0100 & 0430Z: moderate rain shower (SHRA) ~0730Z. Not as much rain as I
was expecting, but has brought the monthly total to 50% of eLTA. ]=

showers over us in past couple of hours, but vigorous convection in
VCNTY, and some sharp downpours must have resulted.
[ Heard on R5L a little while back - report from the Notting Hill
carnival area - 'hail sufficiently heavy to set car alarms off'!]=

screen max: 19.7 precipitation: tr
other data: Strong evaporation of last night's surface moisture -
surfaces dry. ]=
