Default {WR} Boughton under Blean


All times gmt.

Two thunderstorms this evening.

The first one began at 1704 in the south and lasted until 1752. It moved
directly over head, intensifying as it moved into the north. There were a
couple of brief periods of very heavy rain, depositing 7.8 mm of rain
between 1715 and 1800. There was a max gust of 39.9 mph.

The second storm passed to the west between 1945 and 2100. There was one
brief burst of heavy rain depositing 3 mm in a few minutes.

Just 7 miles or so further east and we got absolutely nothing. Just a
bit of faint thunder, barely audible. Total rainfall this month still
only 0.3mm.

It is odd how so many heavy showers/thunderstorms pass only just to the
west of us here...
