Our highest 0900Z to 0900Z rainfall since 24 Oct 05,
almost half of that fell in the hour ending 14/0750Z.
Rainfall details as follows:
1 hour 0550-0650Z... 1.5mm
1 hour 0650-0750Z... 13.8mm
1 hour 0750-0850Z... 2.3mm
12 hours 2050-0850Z... 29.4mm

Between about 5am & 11am today, we got around 24mm. No thunder though,
just steady rain.

The total here for the 24 hours ended 2100 BST was 30.7mm. Nearly all
of it fell at or near the times you mentioned Nigel.

It was quite exciting to see the avbrief radar coloured white (30
mm/hour) on the 0730Z radar image - right on top of my house!
