oups.com... : Thanks Colin, there's also a great time lapse of a 'mini' supercell on : the same day here- : http://www.skystef.be/movies/20061001.htm Here is another one showing a second storm which followed the first along a similar track http://www.skystef.be/movies/20061001b.htm Location of the photographer is Steenokkerzeel near Brussels Airport. Location of the storms is towards Antwerp. Another tornado associated with one of these storms - I think the first - caused substantial damage in Duffel - about 15 km SE of Antwerp - and in the village of Koningshooikt about 10 km east of Duffel. Dozens of houses were damaged and an estimated 6000 sq. m. of glass in glasshouses was destroyed. 6 photos of damage from this tornado on the website of the Belgian public TV station VRT http://www.vrtnieuws.net/nieuwsnet_m...st/index.shtml Click on the word "volgende" to the bottom right of the top photo Colin Youngs Brussels |

ups.com... : The genuineness of this photo has been called into question : elsewhere.-reading the forum are any doubts expressed there? The originals of these photos are on the Belgian Dutch-language forum http://www.weerwoord.be . Their authenticity was apparently called into question on the German Wetterzentrale Forum which I have not looked at. Karel Holvoet is a well known and highly respected weather enthusiast in Belgium. No poster on the Belgian forum doubted that the photos were genuine. Colin Youngs Brussels |
