Weather dominated by the severe flooding 8th/9th January and appears worse
than the floods of 1968, from reports the flood waters were some 3 feet
higher. Fortunately I live on higher ground to the East so escaped the
worst, my Stevenson screen escaped damage by a whisker as a large wooden
garden bench was blown up and over the screen during the night on the
7th/8th
