Felly sgrifennodd Lawrence Jenkins :
I think that's a tad unfair considering it was filmed on location in east
Dartmoor. Apparently they were only able to shoot for limited periods owing
to some nutter continuously making a racket chopping wood.

Now I know why (with reference to Gianna's recent post) I never
killfiled Lawrence! All is forgiven... for the moment

I'm also one of those sad railway enthusiasts (aka trainspotters) who
inwardly seethes when they show a GWR locomotive with the whistle of a
southern pacific hauling a LNER train up the E Coast main line.

Martin

Well, we trainspotters up to the age of 13, which is not so sad.
(I've copped all the 61XX class, I'll have you know).
The LNER train you refer to will start from Horsted Keynes, of
course. The Bluebell Railway makes quite a bit of money from this
hocus-pocus, which can surely only be a good thing.

I was appalled by the
poor standard of continuity in this production by the BBC who
are
supposed to be masters in the field of drama.

I have been annoying my partner by making similar comments,
especially about the remarkably rapid progression of the
seasons.

What's wrong with that? :-)
