I hear the greenies want to ban / reduce cheap flights

They seem to ignore the vast numbers if foreign jets which pass thru uk air
space

It's NOT about them, it's about US. If every person in the UK, was
environmentally friendly we can have clean hands when the Earth
overheats, and becomes too hot for humanity to survive on it !

So lets just do nothing then eh? Good plan. Perhaps extending that
logic we should suggest that because foe example the police can't
catch all criminals they might as well not bother catching any. Genius.

They ( the Environment lobby ) want to ban /reduce UK cheapo flights but
they are ignoring the very large number of foreign flights which pass
through uk airspace - i.e. do something about it

Agreed. Sometimes over london the amount of vapour trails is so great
you can't tell whats the real cloud and what was made by an aircraft.

"Charity" begins at home.
Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself.
Take responsibility for your own actions.

Well, there the logic fails, because the police have virtually given up
catching criminals anyway. It's much easier to give the victims a hard
time.
And anyway, when the villains ARE caught, they just get a slap on the wrist
and a pound out of the poor box. Musn't lock 'em up - oh, no.

And as for aircraft pollution - ( and any other alleged pollution), just
slap a hefty tax on the punters - it won't stop 'em flying (or driving for
that matter), nor will it make a ha'porth of difference to the climate, but
by God it won't half swell the revenue coffers.

Absolutely right, global warming is the biggest threat to mankind ever. It's
nuclear holocaust, it's the blackdeath, it's all famines and every war
rolled into one. An increase of one celsius alone would be a disaster.
Imagine every English summer as hot as Greece, Turkey Spain etc. It would be
unbearable.

Nope increase the taxes on Air Travel make these people pay, it's their
future we are talking about. Stop them traveling to err...countries like
Greece, Turkey Spain etc for their holidays.
