After a minimum of 13.2C last night, today started OK, but the weather
went downhill rapidly. This afternoon has seen gusts of 40-50mph. Gusts have already reached 55mph at Penzance heliport, and 70mph on Scilly where it's currently Force 9. Also a very large swell, from the south which is a bad direction, lucky the tides are small. Looks impressive though. Worst weather of the autumn . Not a great deal of rain, but the fact that it has been travelling horizontally hasn't helped. Graham Penzance |
