RMK: A very dark and gloomy morning. Rain since about 0330z. Slight
to moderate for much of the time but some heavy with a few
torrential bursts. Highest rate according to the Davis VP
was
63 mm/hr at 0445z. The noise of the rain at that time
wakened me.
Surface cold front passed through at about 0655z accompanied
by a sharp drop in temp and dew point and a veer of wind
from
SW to NW.
