Note on November in Ptolemaida
Good afternoon, everyone.
Ptolemaida, in the western Macedonian plains, is showing its continental features this November. Being quite far from the sea and surrounded by mountains, this area often reports the lowest temperature minima in the country. Since the beginning of the month, only one day (Nov 2nd) has had no frost (http://www.meteo.gr/stations/ptolemaida/NOAAMO.TXT). The lowest temperature recorded so far is -8.0C and the highest one is +20.7C. The average diurnal range during the first 19 days of the month is 16.3 centigrades (6.3 to 23.1 centigrades).
