0920z SSW F2 70km++ -RESH 5Cb010 08.3/06.9 1010.7
RMK: Cb base occupies less than one okta to the SE, the rest is medium and upper parts of anvil, including mammatus and a few isolated turrets. Sky to the W and N mostly blue with isolated patches of Sc and Ac, and one distant cu med. Visibility staggering ... detail and colour visible at Waddesdon hill (28km); Cotswold horizon (65km) quite a dark blue, so vis in that direction may be close to 100km. Undoubtedly much less to the S and E but I can't see far that way. Showers at 0610, 0700-20 (hvy) and 0855 adding 2.1mm to yesterday's total. 09-09 Tx 12.2 Tn 5.2 Tg 1.4 RR 16.1 sss(00-24) 1.1 Philip Eden Whipsnade 214m |
