The passage of the cold front last night was quite interesting with a
marked change in wind speed and wind direction in quite a short period of time. Time Avge Wind Gust wind Direction 22:00 10 19 S 22:15 11 18 S 22:30 11 24 S 22:45 7 22 SSW 23:00 5 11 WNW 23:15 3 10 NW 23:30 3 10 WNW 23:45 2 8 WNW 00:00 2 7 ENE 00:15 1 6 N 00:30 1 7 N -- Alan White Twenty-eight miles NW of Glasgow, overlooking Loch Goil and Loch Long in Argyll, Scotland. Scilly easily visible from Land's End, so visibility well 30 miles. Graham |
