[ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z):
screen min: 06.3 grass min: 03.8 precipitation: 8.3 [24hr total: 08.3
mm]
other data: lengthy periods moderate/heavy rain from midnight to 0730Z:
a particularly sharp squall/heavy rain ~0645/0650Z, presumably on the
frontal passage. Minima occurred early yesterday evening; overnight
maximum (also 24hr maximum) was 11.2°C ]=

moderate or heavy rain, between 1015 & 1045Z; probably on the southern
edge of the significant storm that tracked west-to-east at that time and
from which reports of significant hail etc., have been seen. Rainfall
here since 09Z 2.0mm=

I was woken up by thunder in the early hours. Not sure of the exact time but
I think it was around three o'clock.

RMK: [CAVOK / SKC]. If it was light, there would undoubtedly be distant
Sc and/or Cu to be seen, but certainly overhead nothing evident.
[ DAYTIME DATA (09Z - 18Z):
screen max: 10.5 precipitation: 3.9
other data: very squally winds this afternoon though nothing extreme
noted here.
The anomaly (wrt 1971-2000 data) on mean 24hr temperature for the first
7 days of this month is ~+3.7degC; the larger contribution came from the
24hr minima, with an anomaly ~+4degC. ]=
