13.2 degC at 7am this morning here at Ferryhill in Co. Durham. Last
night was stormy, with an incessant gale, it must have been a bit blowy up your place Ken! The wind has now dropped and it's dried up, although still cloudy. Looking forward to some 'normal' December weather. Dave in Durham http://nediary.blogspot.com |

My overnight minimum was 8°, which was the warmest of the last 10 days. I thought it interesting that at 0630 this morning the temperature was 10° and as the sun came up, it fell to 9° (T, not s) - seemed mildly unfair (-: -- Gianna remembering to type before posting this time. |

It was warm/mild enough to play tennis in a t-shirt in Tiverton at 6pm this evening and I wasn't the only one either ! Quite remarkable really. Car sensor read 14°C but I think 13°C was probably near the mark. Who needs winter :-) Jon. (tropical mid-Devon) |

Bright this morning, a bit damp since 15:30, and still quite windy. (Max Gust today 36mph). Still no single figure maximum this autumn/winter. The warmest years I've recorded are 2003 (12.37C) followed by 2002 (12.26), I think this year will come in at No. 2. (Currently running at 12.42C - but some chilly nights to come) May well be near perfect surfing conditions this weekend, with sunshine, light winds and a swell forecast of 4-6'. It will make a change after the recent spell of dangerous big & blown out conditions. It's been a rough time for the seal pups. www.sealsanctuary.co.uk/2006index.html Graham Penzance |
