Hi, All, This is becoming tiresome. Current 0650Z 23040G50KT Highest 10min today 0630Z 23043G52KT Mean windspeed for the month 16.9KT, norm 9.1KT I like neither wind nor rain - not happy! Have to admit it myself, Ken, I'm getting rather tired of it too. I'll settle for a calmer anticyclonic spell now, please. -- Rob C. Overfield Hull |

Have to admit it myself, Ken, I'm getting rather tired of it too. The wet is begining to become a drag, another 5mm clicked since minight but judging by the river and gill levels more than that fell higher up. It could just be the "full sponge" effect. Flood Warnings out River Eamont at Eamont Bridge & River Greta at Keswick. Flood Watches on most of the other rivers in northern Cumbria. Nothing for the Tyne(s) or Tees though which is where the rain around us ends up. -- Cheers Dave. pam is missing e-mail |

Hi, Again, Wind has fallen to a more acceptable F5, the sun is out, the Village Hall tree is up and all's well with my world again! 1250Z 23020G26KT few clouds T9/DPt8 Q1008. A much more relaxing outlook - for now. Best wishes, Ken Copley 253metres asl, nr Barnard Castle, Teesdale, County Durham http://copley.mysite.orange.co.uk |

Fair enough; most of us do. :-) Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey. |

Hi, Tudor, You mean people actually move to places just to record interesting weather? Surely not! As you suggest, there are many ot reasons I live here such as family and money. If I was so fanatical that weather detemined my abode I would probably move to Death Valley as I love sun and heat, but don't let swmbo in on my secret! I said "reasons OTHER than meterological". Death Valley, BTW, is overdoing it. The air pressure is too high. Don't go. :-) Tudor Hughes |
