Default Copley[WR] Still sunny - for now

Hi, All,

Sunshine continues here but the fog is getting closer. I can see it
looming so perhaps it's only a matter of time now before we join in
with the miserable gloom down at the Vale of York. No 2 son could well
be stranded at Heathrow by the look of things. Why fly at this time of
year? No 1 daughter coming up by train from King's Cross so only
hours late as opposed to days late!

09Z - 09Z obs
Met O site max 5.3C min -2.0C grass -8.8C rain nil sun 00Z - 00Z 6.5hr
Lead Mill max 1.0C min -4.7C
1020Z 27001KT CAVOK 01/00 Q1038

Looking good for an ice day at The Mill unless that fog moves over as
it tends to "equalise" the temperatures.

Big temperature difference today in the village. Screen max Lead Mill
-0.5C and 5.3C at the Met O site. Noticeable horizontal line where the
hoar starts on the trees at the Mill, even on the shaded side, at about
30ft.

7.0 hours unbroken sunshine today, now 72hr(150%) for the month.
