NNW F1 20km VCFG SKC -01.0/-01.8 1041.1 RMK: Vale of Aylesbury filled with fog; fog top approx 170-180m amsl. Copious hoar ... some rime too, for instance about 4mm on rain-gauge rim. Did notice some patchy shallow fog drifting from the north across the summit of the Downs after 00z last night. Lack of wind means that it actually feels quite warm in the sun ... vis above the fog is good and the sky is a moderately deep blue. (Photos to follow when I have the time). 09-09 Tx 4.3 Tn -4.5 Tg -7.9 RR tr(x) sss 2.5 Philip Eden Whipsnade 214m |

Bar this morning was the highest since 15 Dec 2001. Philip Eden Whipsnade 214m |

Day's max looks like being +1.0 in spite of almost 7 hrs of sunshine. Philip Eden Whipsnade 214m |
