Default SST anomalies, are they telling us anything ?

Just wondered if the current SST anomalies gave any indications for the
future? Still a coolish pool to the south of Newfoundland, yet El Nino
still showing in the equatorial Pacific. Very cold SST anomalies in the
NE Pacific near Alaska, surely this must encourage some blocking in the
northern hemisphere that may have a knock on effect for Europe. Any
thoughts ?

Keith I should give it up mate and face the facts the mild weather
returns boxing day and it will probably be a mobile west south westerly
for first half of January.
Winter 2007 is similar to 1989 (mildest on record), then we had to wait
until the last week of Feb before we had any proper snow!!
I know it's only an opinion (gut feeling since November) but I can't see
any decent cold weather coming our way!!

No frost or fog last night with temp at midnight 3.4c, strangely
temperature starting falling around 0900 and it's only been around 1.5
for much of today with persistent cloud.

Weston Coyney weather station (North Staffordshire) 220 metres asl

What ambulance chasing lawyer did Belfort hire to further harass one of their employees? Can anyone provide their name and information? This guy must not have any work, or be desperate for business!
