Default The parting of the rains !

I see the main rain band is again parting each side of the Thames, after
it looked so promising an hour ago :-(

It says something about modern winters that even missing out on rain causes
dismay for some!

2.8mm since 09Z here in Canterbury, pressure looks like heading south of
1000mb for the first time in ages.

By far the most noticeable feature of the weather tonight is the wind.
Even here at the bottom of the Stour Valley the wind is strong - bins
from further up the street are slowly making their way this way.

I notice on XCweather gusts of 60mph at St. Catherine's Point; 52mph at
Shoreham; 51mph at Headcorn and 51mph at Lydd.
