"Billy No Mates" wrote in message ... Heather Cooper has just been on BBC News 24 emptying a bucket full onto the BBC as well. She made some very good points about putting more science on mainstream TV. However, "Celebrity Dogging" is more up the BBC's passage these days. Apparently Sir Patrick has written a personal appology to Piers Sellars. Decent chap. You know "Celebrity Dogging " is very apt. The BBC just love Moore, Stan Collymore the failed footballer celebrity dogger. He is to appear in a fantastic new BBC2 production about a rape trial whereas our misunderstood Stanley is one of the jurors. Yes with that lot at the BBC Patrick Moore is less and Stanley Colly is more. |

I have no doubts whatsoever that the plonker irresponsible has the PM's closest support and that he will stand by him. **** sticks as well as it stinks. |

Maybe some of the posters on this thread should take a moment to climb down
off their own particular high horse and have a look at the TV schedule. Sky at Night is on 4 times this week. Tomorrow morning on BBC 1, tomorrow night at 19:30 on BBC4, Tuesday morning at 02:45 on BBC4 and Saturday at 12:30. The BBC4 version is ten minutes longer. I would agree that the BBC science coverage has been well below what I would want it be, although it is far better than any of the other terrestrial channels. I'm not quite sure how many of the comments about the BBC have anything to do with the scheduling of the Sky at Night. I'm pretty sure that gender and sex issues are low on the list of priorities when deciding when we should see Sir Patrick. Ian "Weatherlawyer" wrote in message oups.com... How interesting. Have you a reason for top posting that is not self serving? My apologies. It won't happen again Good man. |

Surely this belongs in another newsgroup? Is it me or have the number of off-topic posts in this NG been on the increase just lately? Jim. |

Subsequent posts have maintained the crossposting.
