Definitely colder here in Perth, Aus. El Nino, I think, is the culprit

This seems to be the winter/summer of bland equability. Everywhere from
New York to Moscow seems to be getting unusual mildness, whilst this
has not been the first report of cool conditions, relatively speaking,
in Australia. Is this one of the results of El Nino?

Surely somewhere else must be getting colder-than-normal weather to
balance out - where would that be?

New Zealand has just had its coldest December on record (since 1928)...

But even so, it's still summer down there.

Temperatures up to 23C today in Wellington, so summer's back on again.
